Here are the results of photographic Lyrids observation on 22 April from 16:08 to 21:00 UT. The images were taken with a Pentax KP camera and 8.5 mm lens, without guiding. The night was nearly moonless, the session took place under dark rural sky with some light cirrus clouds. In total 22 meteors were detected, 7 LYR and 15 SPO among them. The Lyrids activity was not very high so far, at the half of the sporadic level. Suggesting sporadic ZHR of 10 and taking into account the height of the Lyrids radiant during the night we get the Lyrids ZHR ~ 7.

The results are presented in the text form below and in the form of composite images for every hour of observations:

16:08-17:00 UT – 0 LYR, 5 SPO, Lyrids radiant altitude: 27 degrees, Moon: altitude 2 degrees, phase 7%

17:00-18:00 UT – 4 LYR, 3 SPO, Lyrids radiant altitude: 35 degrees, Moon: below horizon

18:00-19:00 UT – 0 LYR, 1 SPO, Lyrids radiant altitude: 44 degrees, Moon: below horizon

19:00-20:00 UT – 2 LYR, 2 SPO, Lyrids radiant altitude: 52 degrees, Moon: below horizon
