We are excited to share a significant update with you all: MeteorNews is embracing a fresh opportunity to refine our focus and to make Meteor News more inclusive to everyone. This change marks a return to our roots, concentrating on delivering concise meteor news from around the world.

In this new phase, three out of four founding members have united to support this positive shift, reaffirming our commitment to the original vision of MeteorNews.

Unfortunately, not all transitions occur without challenges. One of our founding members, Paul Roggemans, has diverged from our collective goals and in a vengeful action, Paul deleted all author accounts and their content from our platform. It was his decision to copy the Meteor News website onto a new domain and then delete the content.

What This Means for Aspiring Authors

MeteorNews remains committed to nurturing new talent in the field of amateur astronomy. To this end, we reaffirm our commitment to providing a free platform for aspiring authors. Here’s what we offer to those looking to make their mark:

  • Technical Support: We will assist you with adding your content to WordPress, ensuring your articles are showcased smoothly and professionally.
  • Editorial Independence: Your voice matters. At MeteorNews, you have complete control over your content as we do not edit your articles. You are solely responsible for your work, preserving the authenticity of your narrative.
  • Collaborative Opportunities: For those seeking feedback, we can facilitate peer reviews to help refine your articles and enhance your writing skills.

We are proud to confirm that MeteorNews holds an ISSN, reaffirming our status as a recognized publication within the journalism community.
